Spotlight On: The Rebels Love Us
'Spotlight On' is our features series – short, snappy and shining a light on a few of our favourite things. This week, Tash Cordeaux introduces Vienna-based creative studio, 'The Rebels Love Us'. If you'd like your work to be Spotlighted email firstname.lastname@example.org.
'The new era of rebellion starts with a deep, deep feeling.
A restlessness, a sense of expression, a task to win.
So we bond together, the rough ones with the softest hearts.
We are The Rebels Love Us, and it is you and me. It’s on us.
Inhale, float and feel the dust.’
Laura Haberkorn & Manuel Platzer founded the Vienna-based creative studio ‘The Rebels Love Us’ to give design a deep, rough & contemporary sense of meaning. With a combined background in music, fashion and urban street culture, the duo are constantly making new links between art, clothing and culture.
Ultimately, 'The Rebels Love Us' aim to combine and connect unusual fields, sub cultures and people to create new forms of experiences and products. They ensure everything they create is a full experience that mixes ideation, creation & distribution. Currently, they are making everything from hoodies and dark wrap kimonos to intricate skateboard decks. With the ‚Fucking Problems‘ event in the pipeline for their latest art & clothing line project, they're set to keep growing. And who knows – what’s next?
