Self-love poetry: 'Eunoia' from Royal Integrity

Self-love poetry: 'Eunoia' from Royal Integrity

Poetry from Royal Integrity's collection 'Ample-some' -
the idea of being more than enough.

EUNOIA

Hold me in your cups of your palms,
promise to spill over.
My cascading bodice has been compared to rivers,
By fingers (like the rushing waves) of thirsty men

I cannot be held,
I was born a maverick.
And I have been hung at its expense.

They crucified me on a clothes-line,

'till I was drip-dried of all my hope.
But faith watered my mind,
and I blossomed into eunoia.

P.S. 'Eunoia' derives from the Greek word meaning 'well mind' or 'beautiful thinking'.

ABOUT ROYAL INTEGRITY

Royal Integrity is an upcoming organisation that has an ultimate vision of promoting self-love, self-acceptance and self-respect in a world that encourages self-hate and disrespect. Royal Integrity is willing to challenge and silence the voice of society telling us we are unworthy to be heard because we weren't born a certain way. Their personal challenge is to shift your perspective, even if it's just for a second. They want you to see yourself as who you truly are, Royalty, Queens and Kings of this generation, ready to conquer and be heard.
